Oscar! Oscar!
"Good musical is back!" ~Hugh Jackman
This is one of the BEST Academy Awards that I can remember. The multi-talented Hugh Jackman has been an immense host. He's so entertaining! It's like Old Hollywood met New Hollywood with all of the glamour and none of the trash. I'm having so much fun watching it! I don't know who was in charge this year, but bravissimo to that person.
On the dress front, I've loved Amy Adams, Anne Hathawy, Kate Winslet, Jennifer Aniston (never happens, ha), Tina Fey, and Freida Pinto. Heidi Klum was very va-voom, and I was rather fascinated by the folds in Marisa Tomei's gown. Oh, how I adore the red carpet.
Angelina Jolie's dress was tres boring, but her solid emerald jewels were faboo. I've seen several magnificent necklaces this year--I'm glad that they're making a comeback. I hate bare necks with plain dresses.
If Heath Ledger wins the Best Supporting Actor Oscar posthumously, I'm going to end up teary-eyed...he just won. I need a tissue.
