Hey peeps! I got back today from another fantabulous weekend in NoVa with my honey. The drive has become old hat to me, lol. I made faboo time, but I was a little lonesome on the way back. I blame the gloomy weather. :P
Sooo, I hauled booty up to NoVa after class on Thursday. I ran into a bit of a rainstorm around Fredericksburg, and some sleet when I got closer to his house, but the ride wasn't bad. Kissing mi querido hello was divine. **purrs** We watched some television, cuddled, and he showed me his insane progress on the Shaine's Tome for Avalon. I find it delightfully creepy in an insane kind of way. The next day, we were both frantically trying to finish the Tome before leaving for the event. As luck would have it, the power was out at the campsite, and the event was cancelled for the evening. With this information, my dark knight and I went out to get dinner, Starbuck's, and some movies. We got food from this cute new place, Oodles of Noodles. Definitely yummy! While at Blockbuster, we got a call saying that the power was working at the campsite, so GAME ON. Frusturating, right? Instead of going out there uber-late, we stayed home, finished the Tome, and made some other props for the main Saturday mod.
Most of the staff was still sleeping when we rolled up to the event the next morning. After moving all of our costume boxes and schtuff into Fear Factory, my darling and I geared up as our Brendylian characters. I definitely got quite a bit accomplished that afternoon. For the evening, the main mod was my idea...a dark future/alternate universe twist on the game. With the overwhelmingly wonderful guidance of my honey, some badass ideas from the game master, and help from the spiffsters staff, the mod rocked the evening. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it! :D In fact, there's potential for a dark future chapter of Avalon. Mwahahaha. I have done some cool stuff out there before, but this was my best event thus far.
We got back from the event at 5am on Sunday. I was totally zonked! There was no way that I was going to drive back later that day, so I left this morning. Plus, spending an extra night with my love is always a treat. :D
This coming weekend is Valentine's Day. I am verra excited. I still can't get over the fact that I finally have someone absolutely amazing that I want to celebrate V Day with. At one point yesterday, I had to pause to reflect about the incredible relationship that I'm in--I can only imagine how divine our future will be together. When we were lying in bed last night, he told me that I was absolutely perfect. **girly sigh**
Aight, I need to change for class. I have a presentation tonight--wish me luck! Ciao, dahhhlings!
